Calling All Entrepreneurs
Coming home last week from a trip to Denver I met a rep from Techstars who told me about a week long entrepreneur workshop they were hosting in Seattle this week. It's called the Seattle Startup Week and it has all kinds of events and sessions designed to help budding startups and entrepreneurs develop networks, receive mentoring and in some cases receive funding.
Last night I had the pleasure of participating in a friend's new product pitch to a very large group of angel investors at the SURF Incubator. It was like the shark tank except there were 4 times as many sharks and they were all local. The pitch went well and was a fantastic opportunity get in front of potential investors. It's amazing how fast 10 minutes flies by.
Anybody in the Seattle area who is working on bringing a new product to market should look into Techstars and SURF Incubator. They provide fantastic opportunities and Techstars holds these types of events all over the US.
